2.5 year age gap…starting to panic

My DD just turned 2.5 this week. I’m due in 4-6 weeks with number two.

DD is so so headstrong and difficult to manage. I spend my days constantly battling her and trying to keep her safe. Getting dressed is a battle, eating a battle, any transition from one thing to another is a battle. She runs off when we’re out, she hits and sometimes bites. She is verbally pretty much fluent so I don’t think it’s frustration.

im starting to wonder if I will ever be able to leave the house with the two kids at once. The thought seems impossible at the moment. Do all 2 year olds go through this? We’re not struggling so much with tantrums (although they do happen) but more with defiance, hyperactivity, lashing out.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I could have written this post myself.

My little girl has just turned 2 and I'm due beginning of Feb.... They sound very similar!!

I must admit it's getting me down wondering how on earth I will cope 😥
