Umbilical cord- Infected or ok?

Hi, was wondering if this looked like it was healing ok? Have noticed a bit of redness around the belly button but doesn't look to be too bad. Will call the midwife in the morning but wanted to see if it looked fine to other people first or whether i should be a bit concerned?

I would call 111 - I had similar and they looked at some photos rather than going in

In my opinion it’s fine, ds is 1 now and I remember his being like this it just needed to dry up and have air to it, but don’t take my word for it. I would call the midwife in the morning in case it is. I hope everything is ok

@chloem21 it was fine but it didn’t look as red like your baby’s. I wouldn’t panic as it’s easily sorted, could you just go to the gp?

It looks quite red. Is it hot to touch? Any pus? Has baby got a temperature?

All was ok! Cord fell off a day later :)
