Breastfeeding every other day??

My 16 month old is currently down to one breastfeed a day, first thing in the morning before I start WFH.
Due to some new work commitments I won't be able to so it some days as will need to leave the house early to go to the office.
Would regularly missing some days make my supply dry out? I wouldn't want to switch to bedtime feeds but also am not ready to stop breastfeeding completely.
Has anyone breastfed every other day and kept their supply ok?

Not sure about every other day, but when I went back to work, my health visitor said that the body adjusts to the supply that is needed. I used to do a daily morning feed, went to work and did a bedtime feed. Supply was fine with this system and actually reduced gradually and gently along with DC’s needs.

My DS reduced his feeds to about 1 every day and a half by himself (from about 20 months). My supply was fine and even after he stopped remained for nearly 2 months so I'm sure it will be fine.

As long as it's regular I'm sure supply will adjust and continue. Someone I know worked sporadic hours and would be away for 24 hours and their supply just adjusted.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I'm doing at the moment, one morning feed works great. However I'm worried that reducing this to every other day won't be sufficient to maintain my supply.

No it won’t dry up. I have gone 2 days away and it still doesn’t dry up.

I work freelance. I take jobs at random. My 15 month old still breastfeeds. Some days he has one feed in the morning then nothing the rest of the day as I'm not there. Then maybe a run of two or three days with me there and bf on demand. Then a couple of days with me hardly there. The supply just adjusts. At this stage I think the only thing that will stop the milk is if he decides to stop himself or if I decide to stop.
