Early Morning Wakings and Unsettled to Sleep

Hello,

My DD is three months of turning three and for the past two weeks she has been waking up at 4-5am. Sometimes it's three but always the early hours of the morning. Either DH and I go in and reassure her she's ok but she wakes up again and this usually repeats.

Anybody here have any experience of this with your toddler's?

My 2 yr old still wakes at least twice a night so I'm watching with interest

My five year old (probably sen) has taken to waking up at 4 am so you have my sympathy.
In the past I have successfully modified his sleep by putting to bed/more exercise/more food.
If they are still napping because they can’t make it through the day without one (my two year old) but don’t need that much sleep it can lead to early wake ups. It does improve once the nap is dropped.

@Orangesare we've tried dropping the nap altogether. At first she slept all the way through but now it makes no difference whether or not she sleeps or not. We walk a lot during the day but not too much to overtire her and we offer her food throughout the day but sometimes won't touch anything until she goes to bed.
