Where has it gone?

Ok, so I'm panicking. My daughter who is 2 got a toy kitchen for Christmas and one of the hobs buttons are missing. Noticed it this afternoon, looked everywhere for it. Don't know how it came off, didn't hear her coughing or anything, she's been fine in herself all day, has eaten as normal and went to bed fine. I'm panicking she swallowed it. I've looked in her toy box, under sofas, behind sofa cushions, under the tv unit, behind doors, in the caddy, her dressing gown, the hallway, the kitchen, it's nowhere! I'd know by now if she had swallowed it right? It's not small but not massive either!

Could it have been missing the whole time? Like, it was never there in the first place? If she seems fine then she probably hasn't swallowed it (I'm not a doctor!)

PritiPatelsMaker · 30/12/2022 07:52

It will probably turn up in the most random of places.

Whatalife88 · 30/12/2022 19:14

Still haven't found it but she's been fine again today.

It hasn't been put in a different slot on the kitchen has it? So it looks like it should be there but it is actually in a random hole for something else?

PritiPatelsMaker · 30/12/2022 19:20

Couple she have

1 popped it through the Catflap, (friends keys)

  1. Put it behind a bookcase? (DS' much wanted WII game that his younger sister hid as a toddler) or
  1. It will never be found. (Bunch of keys Abdul a toddler in the house. Still haven't turned up 15 years later. Suspect they went in the kitchen bin.)

As a side note please return the faulty kitchen and ensure it's raised as such.

I hope your DD is ok, has she poo since?

Whatalife88 · 30/12/2022 22:59

She has pooped today yes. Soft, easy to push out and fine in herself. So don't think she swallowed it but it doesn't make sense lol

Once a little toy of my DD's went missing. I found it in her car seat about two years later.

The most baffling thing

2 year olds like to put things in shoes.
