Covid and 2 month old?!

Me and my family have been sick with a fever and a cold in these last few days. I did a covid test the other day (don’t think I did it properly) and it was negative. I’m completely fine now. Baby also had a fever yesterday but he’s absolutely fine now too. DH today got a temperature just like the rest of us and he took a lateral flow test today and it’s positive. Stressing badly now because he’s been holding DS as normal just like everyone else because everyone was ill. Baby is fine now but I’m so worried. I’m pretty sure it’s covid that the whole family has/had and I’m just worried about my baby now because he’s not even vaccinated yet. He hasn’t even had his 8 week vaccination yet.

Pretty sure what me and baby too had was covid but how can we be better in 1-2 days?

Me and my little girl were better in 2 days. Just tested positive for longer. Try not to worry if your baby seems fine now then that's great.

He does seem fine now, he doesn’t have a fever or a blocked nose today which is what he had in the last 2 days. But I’m terrified because he’s only 9 weeks old 😭

@dreamerkr I know it is scary but if he seems fine then he will be

I got covid when my twins were 5 weeks old-totally understand the worry, especially as they were too young for calpol or anything really. One got it for about a day and the other just a few hours a few days later. Their temperatures never reached 38 though. Our HV said they were finding babies often coped better with covid than adults. There don’t seem to be any lasting effects.

Have you spoken to your health visitor about how you're feeling? I hope you don't mind me saying but you seem to have a little bit of health anxiety as this is the second thread I've seen of yours worrying about the baby getting ill.
I hope everyone is okay and not feeling too rough x
