Please help guys. My 2 month old DS was down with a fever just like the rest of the family and he’s recovered from that. But since yesterday whenever I’ve tried to feed him he starts crying and screaming. I combo feed and he will sometimes take a bottle (although he drinks less milk), but whenever I try to breastfeed him he feeds for a few seconds and then starts screaming so loudly. I don’t know what to do and it’s so upsetting. It’s whenever I try to feed him only that he starts screaming even when I know that he’s hungry.

Has he had calpol?
If he has a blocked nose try to clear that.
Have you tried somewhere quiet? Can you just sit for a while skin to skin so he can snack?
Have you ever fed in the bath? Sometimes that helps them to relax.

I didn’t give him calpol today because he seems much better and doesn’t have a temperature anymore. His nose has been a bit blocked but that too is much better now. I’m trying in my bedroom where it’s really quiet, I will try to do some more skin to skin with him and I hope it helps. I haven’t tried feeding in the bath but if nothing else works then I will do that. Thank you so much.

Hope he’s sorted again soon. I used to find Kelly Mom useful. I’ve found this page, but might be others.
