Anyone else or kids got this low level cold that hasn’t budged for WEEKS?

DD came down with a cold about 3-4 weeks ago, just a snotty nose and cough. I got it a few days after. It hasn’t caused temperatures or anything but it did give DD a nasty bout of croup yesterday. The thing is, it’s not going! Every morning we wake up and it’s still there, thankfully not worse but not better either. We’re both up coughing at night with the phlegm and really tired. Negative LFT. Does anyone else have this? When did it go 😱

Same here. DS1 - 7 has had a cold (or several back to back) for 4 or 5 weeks. Snot cleared up after antibiotics as they thought chest infection but he's still coughing and actually almost lost his voice Xmas day. I've just gone down with a temp, cough, sore throat and shivers and other DS has the same cough though not as bad.

Tempted to phone docs tomorrow and get him looked at again. Might need another round of anti-b's for him or it might be this nasty bug going round. We are all so weary of it. He does seem better in himself though and no snot now. Loading up on good food and Sambucol.

We've all had this to various degrees - DH really badly and it's only calmed down this week (week 3); 14yo fairly badly and DS and I mildly, but all had it for at least a fortnight.

On balance it's more likely to be multiple infections. My DS is 1 and has had nasal congestion and a wet cough for about 6 weeks continuously, with patches of more severe symptoms at various points, from what seems to have been 3 back-to-back viral infections. He was at the GP a few times and once they even referred him to A&E, but determined all viral so nothing they could do and he narrowly missed the symptom thresholds for a hospital admission. He's been up multiple times a night with the terrible cough for that whole time so you have my sympathies. I myself have caught 3 illnesses in the past 4 weeks too. Just sooo much going round ATM.
