Looking for recommendations as we need to get a new single bed for our 4yo. Thanks!

Don't get the cheapest one- I did and than I had to bloody sleep on the thing for half the night for a year Confused

I would just say go softer than you would for an adult. Made the mistake of getting medium to firm for DD1 and while it’s perfect for an adult it’s too hard for her. For DD2 we got soft to medium and it’s much better for a child.

DD2’s was from John Ryan and I would recommend. They do a no quibble returns after 60 days if you buy what they have recommended.

Dd is that age and hers is from ikea. It was the the cheapest one but not the most expensive either. She’s in a double because of how often we’re in there with her, and it’s very comfortable. It came rolled up iirc which I was dubious about but it really is good.

I think these are good and sold at cost (although more expensive that they used to be).

We got DDs from Bensons for Beds. It's a standard single bed with a mattress specifically designedfor children - it's supposed to offer the right support for a growing child and I have to say it's fantastically comfy

We got medium to soft ones from IKEA, which is pretty good for the price, we also have mattress toppers for protection and some extra softness as they like it quite soft.

Great advice thank you MN. She does complain her bed isn't as soft as ours! Thanks all x
