Toddler being really sleepy and lazy after getting ill

So my toddler had an infection he had really high fever for Wed and Thursday got better on Friday and has had antibiotics aswell. However he’s still sleepy and being lazy not eating as much as he would either. Should I be worried? Or will he get better with a bit more time?

If you cannot wake him easily and he seems disoriented or clammy, then I would seek medical help immediately.
If he is needing an extra nap but seems fairly normal in between times then I would say he is just recovering.
If he has not been eating much has he been drinking plenty- it's easy for toddlers to become dehydrated.
Trust your mum instincts though, if you think something is up, ring your GP or 111 they never mind seeing a little one to check them over and it's always better to be safe than sorry.

he is fine and wakes up but just wants extra naps and is playing in between but gets tired quickly. It’s the holidays so it’s not easy to get an appointment either 😩 I will try to get one in upcoming days just to make sure x

After an infection I’ve always noticed my DC needing extra sleep, catching up on interrupted sleep over the last few days being unwell. Antibiotics do mess with everything eating, toileting, sleeping. If he’s playing and drinking, eating food will hopefully follow. I’ve always said it takes a good week to get antibiotics out of their system to be back to normal.

yeah that’s what I was thinking aswell he’s okay when he’s awake and he’s playing aswell but bless him gets tired quickly. So bad to see them like this. 😩
