Viral infection going around is everyone ill?

so me my husband and my toodler have all been I’ll one after the other. It’s so bad it’s not covid or strep A but don’t know what it is. The whole body aches painful throat and cough. My toodler has fever of 40 for 2 days and his fever has gone away since 2 days but he’s just been sleeping and not wanting to play. 😩
I have it now aswell and my whole body just aches anyone else going through this?

Yes there's loads of it about. I had it for 2.5 weeks. Just got rid. Mine was covid. (As was my Mums and my Dads) There's been a lot of threads this past week about it. Perhaps a few different similar viruses circulating. Plus also looks to be a few sub variants of covid too.

Pretty much everyone, every other thread I've read in the past week is about the various illnesses around at the moment, I'd say you're doing really well that it's not something you've heard of until now

Yep. I sat and cried this morning as I still feel so awful after a week of feeling horrible.

Yes, DD had it for about a week! Spent it j bee, 2 days ate nothing, spinny head, feeling sick at the beginning (but not being sick), then the cough and sore throat, achey all over.

aww bless I know how you feel, my poor DS has heen I’ll got nearly a week now and now me it’s just so bad you can’t do anything 😩

oh no my DS is the same he’s not eating properly and just wants to lie down hope your little one gets better soon x

Had a rotten cold (with a regularly bleeding nose), sore throat and general crap-ness for 2 weeks now, got food poisoning on top of it mid way through just to add insult to injury, ended up with bouts of tachycardia which I got checked out (have a history of Pulmonary Embolism so Dr always errs on the side of caution) and was diagnosed with post-viral cardiac changes - so it's obviously a bit of a humdinger.

Turns out I'm anaemic again which doesn't help either.

I’ll here too, Christmas has been cancelled 😞

All day been in bed :( feeling so crappy

Yes we have this in our family 3 adults last 3 days
first son started around 11pm said his throat was hurting, coughing bad in the night
then me, very dry throat and very tired no energy
dp as cold like symptoms and freezing cold all the time

oh no it’s just so bad isn’t it. How’s your kids now? My babys fever has gone away since 2 days but he’s just really sleepy I am getting a bit worried as normally he’s full of energy
