Gave my toodler calpol and iburofen 40 mins apart as his temp is coming down from 40. Is that okay?

Hi guys, me again DS has had fever all day today and has been taking calpol. I gave him calpol and nurofen 40 mins apart as his temp was 40.3. Is that okay?

It worries me that so many people on this thread would have called 111 for this. No wonder the NHS can't cope with demand. Surprise surprise OP gave it time for the meds to work and child's temperature has come down.

Unnecessary comment. I called 111 for advice on the same and I would do again. My DS was in hospital with pneumonia for a week this year and I don’t take risks with him. 111 made me a GP appointment the following day. Better than rocking up to A&E, waiting hours and getting in the way. If you want someone to blame for the situation with the NHS, blame this shitshow of a government.
