Struggling so much with my baby

I'm so sick.

I'm exhausted.

9 month old dd won't go to sleep in her cot.

I have no family support. I feel so alone.

I can't do it anymore.

Can you cosleep?

My baby was the same (now a two year old!) we still cosleep now; we all get more sleep this way.

I don't have any advice on getting baby in cot, I failed on that front!

It does get easier. Promise.

Ps I'd still put baby to bed at 7pm (on our bed - much easier and comfier for you that way) I had the monitor set up in our bedroom.

I tried the painful lowering a sleeping baby in to a cot thing for months and it was soul destroying.

I'm sure others will tell you to sleep train, it wasn't for me.

Sorry you're feeling like this. Agreed with PP - can't you cosleep? My DD is 8 months and also won't sleep in a cot but does sleep much better in my bed

It's so hard when you are unwell, I'm sorry 😞 hoping you have a good night

Beanbagtrap · 22/12/2022 22:35

I'd co sleep, go to bed early to get some rest and watch box sets in bed

Sending you positive vibes @bakewellbride x
I have an 11 week old baby girl, i thought maternity leave was going to be like a holiday but with my baby lol!

bakewellbride · 23/12/2022 01:27

Thanks everyone. She had a stint of sleep and now I'm feeding her. Our mattress isn't right for Co sleeping and also our 4 year old is in our room taking up loads of space!! The joys of motherhood. Everyone is doing so well x

Please don’t think everyone else is doing so well, especially if it’s social media you’re looking at to assess how other parents are doing. It’s not real life. Babies are extremely hard work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Personally we never co slept as it wasn’t considered safe.
