How many chances do you give your ex to step up and be a parent? My ex hasn’t seen our children for 2 years, he recently got back in contact and I posted on MN about being unsure about restarting contact given how long he has been absent (my youngest doesn’t remember him at all.)
Anyway of course I was told he must have contact it’s his right and I can’t “just change my mind” fair enough if this was a one off but he has always been like this since we split and has previously disappeared for year (this is just the longest it’s been) well I listened to the comments and agreed to start up contact again and he told my kids he had bought them presents for Xmas so of course they want their presents. We arranged he would come down yesterday and he didn’t show up, contacted me to cancel, and ask to come today instead, well today he has cancelled again? I mean what now? He wants to come tomorrow now but I am so busy this week like everyone and I don’t want to waste my time again
