Teething pain at 7months

I've read everywhere that teething hurts the most before the tooth erupts and at most about 3 days of pain. Unless there is more than one tooth coming.
My 7mo old son starting proper teething 10 days ago with flushed cheeks and rubbing his gums on everything, more than the usual mouthing he's been doing for 3 months. Then the front, bottom, left erupted 6 days ago with a temperature in the afternoon and all was fine until 4 days ago when he's stopped eating his purees, became very hard to settle at bedtime and has had a mild temperature every bedtime since then. So tonight was the 4th night of Calpol/nurofen.
So this doesn't seem to follow the guidance. Is it likely he has a second one coming or is this still residual pain of the first?

My 7 month old has 4 teeth, the bottom left came first and straight away got the bottom right. And same with the top 2, 2nd one straight after the first. He also is hard to settle with teething, and was definitely off his purée’s, even milk too! He’s okay right now, but I’m just waiting for more to arrive and it all to kick off again.

Teething pain is so hard- praying that you have some relief soon 🙏
