DS is 3. Seems v anxious. Always talking about being scared. If I walk out the room he shouts "I've lost my mummy" until I come back in.
He's also pretty destructive. Nursery are making ASD referral. DH thinks we just need to be more zero tolerance
Anyway...that's all context to the problem which is sleep. He's actually been a good sleeper for the last year - sleeping through the night, going to sleep independently, in his own bed
But he's got v nervous of dark and talks about lions and monsters a lot. He made me take down the posters in his room
I now lie in his bed as he falls asleep. Problem is then when he wakes up he comes and gets me from my room. He's v upset if he wakes and I'm not there. He actually seems to think daddy sleeps alone and DS and me share a bed (DS has a big bed so I can sleep in there). I've tried to explain but his language is quite behind so he just says "mummy sleep here" over and over again.
Do I need to be firmer? Or will he just grow out of it in time? I don't mind that much but DH is a bit fed up of it all...lots of bed hopping in middle of night
Any advice?
