Is this normal baby poo?! (Warning poo pictures!)

Hi I’m new on here so not sure if I’m posting in the right place! My daughter is nearly 14 weeks and since she was about 1 week old we’ve had numerous doctors visits and changes in milk etc to try and get to the bottom of her symptoms. She is in constant discomfort and screams A LOT of the time especially when trying to poo. She has been put on Movicol because she was struggling to poo and is on Aptamil Pepti for suspected CMPA and diagnosed with silent reflux. She’s had 3 explosive nappies today and the last one had lumps in it and I’ve no idea what they are?! I’ve been to the doctors so many times and would love some advice from other mums!

Gosh I've never seen a nappy like that, I don't think the lumps are normal at all. Your poor baby, it sounds miserable and I really sympathise having had a refluxy uncomfortable baby in the past!

Can you email that photo to your GP and see what they say?

Poor baby! Could the lumps be mucus ? Have you moved them around to check consistency ? I've become such a poo inspector I have as my baby girl is exactly the same as you describe, also on the same milk, her explosive poos seem to have settled to be honest although she still has the odd one. Her rash cleared up straight away and she does seem happier, she had lots of mucus still but apparently it can take a while to clear while the gut heals.

She sounds like she is still reacting to the milk which I hear is common and she might need the dairy free stuff.

I think I will send the photos across but I don’t seem to get very far with the doctors!

I checked the consistency and they don’t feel like mucus

Are the lumps milk at all? My DD had something similar and I was told by HV that it was clumps of milk. If you're worried though 100% take to the docs xx
