Fever not coming down 8 week jabs

DS had his 8 week jabs today and been running a fever, I gave him calpol an hour ago and his temp has gone up not down (up to 38).
been on hold for 45 mins to far on 111. can anyone let me know if this is normal? I know
a temp of 38 can be normal but I'm
most concerned about the calpol not bringing temp down

It is normal, they can have temps for 2 days. See above for some tips.

I hope you can speak to someone we were on hold for 2 hours last week and didn’t speak to a doctor till 5 hours after that.
