Hi there, I have just started A210, am also studying a(zx)103 that I started in ocotber. I have a one year old son and average 80% and find it tough but good, would be good to chat to other mums!

I'm doing it too - just starting TMA 05!

You're averaging 80% -wow! I'm thriled if I get higher than 60%! How are you getting on with this essay - I must say, I did NOT enjoy the whole poetry section one little bit...

I have a 4 year old ds and a one year old dd, and find it hard to motivate myself sometimes...like just now I'm supposed to be studying.....

hey, how are you finding the course? did you do another course at level one before you started? I start creative writing in ocotber....i plan to continually overlap so I get my degree in realtime (ie 3-4 years) and not the 7-8 years it would take if i did one course a year!......I will be surprised if I maintain my 80% on this course lol!....I am already struggling with the workload of both and my son!

I'm finding it ok - it's pretty hard when I'm wiped out at the end of the day and instead of flopping in front of the tv I have to read...quite liking this TMA subject but think it's going to be quite challenging to write the essay.

I did two years at uni years ago but didn't finish my degree - I'm doing the OU now to finally complete it. I already have 200 points from that first course which should be at least partly transferable. I'll be doing another course after this one but haven't decided which one yet - was thinking about creative writing too...but might have to do a level 3 one...eek!

It's good to find someone else doing the same course!

it really is good to find someone doing the same course lol! even if I have just started it! the creative writing one sounds fun, I write in my spare time(not often these days) but i do love studying. And if i hadnt had my son and been left as a single parent I would never have done it and jsut been a stay at home mum! so it is hard, but its all down to him and he has no idea!!!

good for you! How are you getting on with this TMA? I have been reading the textbook but haven't actually put anything on paper yet...I'm not very organised and tend to just sit one day and bang out my essay which isn't really the best way to go! How do you organise yourself?

I'm in America, btw, so apologies for not writing back sooner!

nelix2000 · 10/02/2008 13:23

lol oh are you living in america or holiday?I havent started the tma yet lol, I am like you and tend to do it in a day or over two days!....lol when it comes to studying I tend to see how many pages I need to study for that week , then divide it by 5 ( i refuse to study weekends, thats my sons time) but yeah...I manage in the evenings for a couple of hours!......

we live here -dh in RAF and this is where he's posted for a couple of years. You do two hours in the evening? I tend to do mine on the weekends when dh is around to look after the kids...should be starting the TMA now so better get on! Don't think it'll be too hard this time as at least it's interesting!

Good luck with yours..
