Hello everyone, still really struggling to get my 20month old to sleep through in his cot, he can't self soothe himself doesnt have a blanket or teddy, he wants us to stroke his hand.. he can then wake up several times during the night, the last couple of weeks he's woken up and screamed non stop throws his dummy, I see if he wants any juice throws that will not stop to the point i bring him in the bed, please don't judge first time parents, I know its our fault for being soft and stroking his hand bringing him in the bed but to actually get a bit of sleep and for him to calm down we do so, we have tried the cry it out method it generally doesn't work for him he works himself up that much hes wide awake again yet you think he would be knackered 🙈 even took him to see a paediatrician said to keep persevering which yes we are trying to do so but struggling with what else we could do to help him.
