Let's talk - Christmas stress

I posted on another board being more specific, however I feel like posting on here I will reach out to more and we can all have a good rant/moan!

Anybody else feeling floored with the overwhelming Christmas period?

There's just so much to do🤯 and it's come so fast! I tried to be prepared but as always I do not feel prepared 🙈

Not to be smug but I don’t feel as stressed this year but still a bit stressed. I’ve cut back on a fair but this year and tried to be organised but ill children and parents has got in the way. I’m relaying on lowering expectations.

I think I'm definitely going to plan less next year and possibly not host Christmas dinner, I just feel like I tried so hard to be prepared but I'm really not prepared! Me and the littlest have been hit with a bug so it's slowing me down 🤯

Don’t over worry! As you get older the stress becomes less - the only pressure is what you place on yourself.

Christmas memories are the build up and magic!

My boiler is broken has been for two weeks I've had 3 failed engineer visits. I've spent my last few days off work unpaidwaiting in for them and hours of telephone calls on hold to be told yes they are on their way then fobbed off. I'm pretty much at breaking point no Christmas shopping has been done.

I thought I was going well, but now DD is ill, so I’ve lowered my expectations.
Im not stressing myself out over it.

I was guaranteed they were coming today, but again a no show. Endless calls on hold for 45-50 minutes. I've got one plug in heater and no hot water so Xmas can fuck right off. I was supposed to be Xmas shopping and sipping mulled wine on my days off not stressed and on my phone all day
