When to see GP for earache?

NHS website says after 3 days. DD4 started with a cold last weekend and it became an earache Monday. For a couple of days she was complaining about it a lot at night and she was waking up when her Calpol wore off. Didn't bother her much in the day. It's Friday morning and the last two nights she's slept fine with no medicine. But she still says her ear aches if I ask her how she's feeling today. Would you try and see the GP today on the basis that's it's been 3 days and should be gone by now or should we see how we're doing on Monday since it seems to be improving?

I would try to get them seen today, nothing worse than it getting worse over the weekend and having to use out of hours.

Just for your piece of mind more than anything

Today. It will be easier than over the weekend and then if she needs antibiotics that will be a battle to find them.

Go today if you can. I asked my GP friend this exact same question a few weeks ago and he said after a few days and if it gets a lot worse ASAP due to concerns about hearing if an ear infection is left too long. Not worth waiting over the weekend.
