Baba is 7 months and had eczema on and off for a while. I mean bleeding cracking skin.

GP has tried pretty much all they can including steroid cream. We have now moved to dairy free formula.

Eczema is a little better but we also started a new cream at the same time. Hes been on the milk for about 5 weeks. So it could be the milk... or the cream (pain of the GP trying different things all at once)

Baby has absolutely no other signs of an allergy and weaning is going well - although we are excluding dairy. I have a review with the GP tomorrow but I don't want to keep taking formula from them others may need (im aware of the shortages) if its unnecessary. Next step is a dermatologist which we are on a list for

Really I'm after mummas experiences of CMPA and signs they noticed. I'm not going to go against the doctor and will continue with whatever plan they advise but looking for some real life experiences from people

Hi, DD1 (21 months) and DD2 (3 months) both have CMPA.

Both got it as a result of being on antibiotics after birth which messed up their gut flora.

DD1 started prescription free formula around 5 months and then we started the milk ladder when she was around 1. She grew out of it by 18 months.

Both my girls have had all the symptoms, though. Rash, constant crying, reflux, mucousy poos.

If your baby is generally happy on normal milk and his only symptom is a rash, then IME it isn't CMPA.

For DD2, I stopped dairy as soon as I suspected CMPA. Her rash disappeared in 2 weeks. Her other symptoms went away soon after.

Hoping your LOs rash gets better x
