I always love the threads on a weekend where people say what they’re up to. I don’t know why but they give me a lovely warm feeling.

I’m at home with dd 20 months today (i work part time) I usually have something planned but today we don’t and as it’s so cold I’m quite glad.
Just interested to know what everyone else is up to today?

DD and I are both ill so I suspect it will involve a lot of CBeebies 🤧

Mine is at nursery but I have the baby, if toddler was here we’d be doing Christmas crafts, salt dough decorations and making mince pies

@ShirleyPhallus I think we are going to give the salt dough decorations a try. I’m sure I have some festive cutters in the back of the baking cupboard

Me and mine are in bed recovering from a 13 hour visit to hospital yesterday due to my little ones tummy pains -she wasn't allowed to eat in case she needed surgery ( which thankfully she didn't) I couldn't eat coz she was asking for food and I couldn't just eat in front of her when she was hungry!! So we got back finally at 1am she hadn't slept (had a 10 min nap as opposed to her usual 2 hour nap and bedtime is usually 8pm she was up way past that) so she's still asleep atm! We're both tired my husband, thankfully, did the school run with our older daughter

Yes! I was thinking about salt dough a few days ago then forgot.
My husband has baby and toddler all day on Saturday so I'm Gona tell him to do that with the three yr old.

Op today I have the 1yr old and I too will be staying indoors except maybe for a short walk in the buggy but it is too cold for a long one..
Not sure what I'm Gona do yet but he is in and about everything

You don't even need cutters. Just roll two sausages, wind round each other, roll three small balls and two leaves. Join the sausages together stick the balls and leaves over the top of the join and hey presto you have a wreath!

I'm at home with my 15 month old - tried to go out to Rhyme Time just now but she had a meltdown halfway down the road, I'm pretty sure she's teething - lots of crying, dribble and fingers in mouth!

We're currently reading books but thinking of doing some baking later with whatever's in the house. Hoping she'll be OK for a trip to the shops later once Calpolled!

I kept DD 2.5 home on Tuesday as the snow and ice were dreadful and we had quite an unsettled weekend with hospital visits and travel.

We had Disney and cocomelon on all day, we played in the snow in the garden, and decorated some iced sugar cookies and then she played in the bath for an HOUR. Normally I dread a whole day at home but this was so nice and cosy and I find if I take the pressure off myself with activities and screen time it flows so much better!
