Am I over-reacting?

Hi!

I need to know if I'm overthinking/reacting.

On Monday I arranged with a babysitter to watch my daughter on Wednesday for 6 hours. I messaged the babysitter Tuesday morning to say that my daughter has a runny nose but no other symptoms. She said that's totally ok (on Monday she said there are no other kids booked in) but I wanted to confirm. I get a call Tuesday night at 7pm to tell me a other mum doesn't want my daughter there as she is being cautious because they're going on vacation Friday. This mum was at a parent and tot Xmas party at the weekend (around 40 people there) ... not sure how 'cautious' she is really being. Can't she keep her child at home instead??

Im a business owner and I've had to cancel my day of work at 7pm the night before for this other mum.

There has been a couple other incidents in the past where i have felt be-littled and patronized bu this mum, so it's all annoying me lol.

Am I over-thinking??

Yeh that’s really bad of her. You were obviously booked in first and the babysitter was fine with it so it should have been the other mum to stay at home. Especially since it’s because she’s going on holiday. I’d be annoyed too and I probably wouldn’t use that babysitter again to be honest, she shouldn’t have let the other mum dictate.

Confused.
You said the sitter had nobody else booked? Then that another mother didn't want your child to pass on germs?
If I've understood correctly, then the sitter is at fault for trying to bump your booking.
