Nits! Natural remedies ??

On holiday on a fairly remote hot island .Lucky me I know. However my 5 year old daughter has head lice from her class which I did not spot when we flew out.

Any ideas of anything natural to try? I can't find nit lotion anywhere. Been driving in a taxi - no nit combs or nit lotions. Have used up all our conditioner and combed her hair..

Olive oil?

Was going to say nit comb and conditioner. Any pet shops around? They may have nit combs or similar?

Hair straighteners! Fry kill the burgers!

Honestly a good dose of conditioner and then straighten the hair on a daily basis... it was the only thing that worked for DD in the end

You could look up using a hairdryer. I hear it can be effective.

Mayonnaise smothers them in the same way Hedrin does but you still need to comb the nits out.
