As the title says really x

I am 38 weeks fed up in pain and am hoping baby just comes along soon Blush

I know this technically belongs in pregnancy but thought I may get more answers on here.

Was very overdue with first a few years ago !

Does your body usually follow a pattern ?

X

In my limited experience of 2 children, yes. DS1 - labour 40+5, born 40+6. DS2, born 40+4. DS2 birth very fast and straightforward compared to DS1 though.

AnotherAppleThief · 12/12/2022 15:40

I wasn't.

10 days late followed by 10 days early.

Suzie35 · 12/12/2022 16:10

@BobbleWobble1 thanks my partners nan told me this too! She was late with them all. This baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead this time so I have a feeling it won't be as easy as my first GrinXmas Shock nerves are kicking in!

@AnotherAppleThief wow that must have been nice no waiting around the second time! This pregnancy is definitely harder this time round and dealing with giant bleeding piles every doesn't help lol

My 3 went:

#1: 41+6
#2: 39+6
#3: 41+1.

Hope it's soon for you! X

Knockagain · 12/12/2022 16:15

😬 I was late with all 3!

Hope it’s not much longer for you OP.

PuttingDownRoots · 12/12/2022 16:19

DD1 40+5.
DD2 bang on 40 weeks

The irony was I really needed DD1 to come early and DD2 to be late (DH in army, around his deployment dates. Went away when DD1 was a week old, then the next time he got home two weeks after DD2 was born)

Funkyslippers · 12/12/2022 16:19

5 days late with DD1, 2 weeks early with DD2!

JaninaDuszejko · 12/12/2022 16:22

40+7 with DC1
40+2 with DC2
36+4 with DC3

No pattern.

Rocklobstershell · 12/12/2022 16:23

Overdue with all three of mine - first 2 between 10-14 days and 4 days late with third.

NoelNoNoel · 12/12/2022 16:24

40+6
40+6
40+5

VoyageInTheDark · 12/12/2022 16:27

2 weeks over with my first, 1 week over with my second

Betty65 · 12/12/2022 16:27

I don’t think the pattern follows…my 1st was 2 weeks over due and the 2nd 2 weeks early!
It’ll come when it’s ready… hope all goes well for you.

bigbadbarry · 12/12/2022 16:30

All three of mine went over but number two was the least late (40+ 6 rather than +18 and +12 for her sisters)

cptartapp · 12/12/2022 16:31

40+5
40+8

Ijuststoodonlego · 12/12/2022 16:33

I was with all mine (induced at 42wks). My mum was the same. Good luck OP. It felt like hell waiting.

orangehour · 13/12/2022 05:29

I was 41 weeks with my first and 39+4 with my second. Second was also a much quicker and easier birth - DD1 was 26 hours with forceps and DD2 was one hour active labour!!

lifeinthehills · 13/12/2022 06:05

Apart from one who was three weeks late, mine have all been consistent within a few days.

HowVeryBizarre · 13/12/2022 06:33

All three of mine were about a week late but if it is any consolation labour times decreased drastically with each one. 17 1/2 hours, 5 1/2 hours and 45 minutes 😁

Suzie35 · 18/12/2022 22:53

Wow thanks ladies ! I am nearly a week late replying to this thread Blush

I'm thinking this one is going to be late now too I will be 40 weeks next week and nothing no signs of labour starting at all :(

I had a very crampy night a few nights ago with lots of tightenings and within 3 hours all back to Normal and feels like baby is sitting higher than ever since !Hmm

This one is a big one too measuring ahead 2 weeks on growth scans so that's adding more worry Sad hope i can push bubba out !

Thanks for all your responses
