Toddler thinks he's "naughty" for weeing on floor

Tried potty training for 3 weeks - worked brilliantly for first week whilst we were at home, as soon as DS went back to nursery 3 days a week, went pear shaped. He told his grandma that he wasn't happy because he'd been naughty. When asked what he'd done, he forlornly said "I did wee wee on the floor".

We feel really sad about this - and not sure if he's made it up (he's 2.5yrs old) or if one of the carers at nursery told him he was naughty - or even if one of his peers said it. Do you think I should mention it to nursery - how do I do it?

Yep, deffo mention it. My friend 'caught' the nursery chastising her child for an accident. They're just too little at this age to have done it deliberately and it'll give 'em a complex if it's said regularly.
(Although once my little one got through 12 changes of clothes in one day and I really lost it. Called Dad home from work before I blew up big style!)
