Anyone else’s little ones sleep gone bad around 18/19 month?

My little one used to nap 2 hours and sleep through. although he woke early!

Now he’s taking short naps, he has also been waking so much more at night!

He has been ill but is on the mend, also big teeth coming and so much speech! Also some separation anxiety.

Last night was the worst he wake awake 10pm-1am. Lots of crying. I was popping in an out for 3 hours and then reassuring him and sitting with him then repeat. He was SO upset when I left the room but then doesn’t sleep and plays if I’m in there. not sure if last night was a split night because I keep putting him to bed early after short naps so not sure if he has too much time in bed - but he was also so upset so could be teeth who knows!

any other mums going through this too? How long did it last? Send advice!!

We had this at about this age. I just got up when she woke and slept on the floor in her room for a month - started out holding her hand through the bars of the cot and then gradually got further and further away until I was sleeping on the landing with the door open, then eventually I closed the door bit by bit, and after about six weeks I was back in my bed and she was sleeping through again. I was about 4m pregnant and it was a real pain in the arse (and the back) but it passed.

@MolliciousIntent it’s so hard! My little one doesn’t tend to go to sleep with us there because he’s too distracted so I usually pop in an out but he’s so upset when I leave at the moment.
