Hi everyone,

I want to get my 6 and a half week old some Christmas presents. Just a couple, obviously I know she’s going to have no idea, be able to open them etc but that’s why I have no idea what to get her. Ideally I want things that will also be useful, not buy things just for the sake of it. FTM here :) she has plenty of rattles now…. any ideas please? X

I got mine a nice bracelet, she's 3 now and wears it everyday.

When my now 2 year old had her first Christmas, a friend bought her a baby gym, and she had so much use out of it over the next six months or so (and now her little sister is enjoying it). So if you want something she'll enjoy fairly soon, that would be good. Or you can just get some toys she'll enjoy some time in the next year like soft building blocks, or a Lamaze stuffed toy. Or some board books - maybe some of the "That's not my..." ones?

A few little board books.
A set of Beatrix Potter books.

Here are a few ideas for Christmas presents for a newborn:
Soft toys or stuffed animals: Babies love to cuddle with soft, plush toys. Look for ones that are age-appropriate and made with safe materials.
Teething toys: As a baby starts to grow their first teeth, they will often chew on anything they can get their hands on to help alleviate the discomfort. Teething toys can provide a safe and soothing option for them to chew on.
Clothes: Newborns grow quickly, so they will need a lot of clothes as they get older. Look for onesies, sleepers, and other clothes that are soft, comfortable, and easy to put on and take off.
Book: Reading to a baby is a great way to promote early language development. Look for books with colorful illustrations and simple stories that are easy for a baby to follow.
A bedding set can make a great gift for a baby this was Christmas presents from my mom :).

I have brought a toy box

That's genius! You get to put away all the stuff that will engulf your home they'll acquire.

A baby mirrorr* might be useful too as they can be used during tummy time.

Love the idea of a bauble a year, a new book and bottle of wine 🍷
