Milk intolerance/allergy help:(?

I have been prescribed nutramigen dairy free milk for my 11 week old as there has been a number of symptoms and they have asked me to try it but I’m reluctant to change yet for a few reasons. Firstly she has changed milks so many times I don’t want to distress her more, secondly she takes some bottles okay and some awfully? But I’ll list some symptoms and see if anyone can help if they have babies with the intolerance/allergy and think it may be this…

little one has suffered constipation from about 3 weeks old which she was prescribed laxido for which helped for a while then give her chronic diarea and we was told to stop it. She brings her knees up to her chest crying all the time, she flings her head back when drinking her bottle as if she doesn’t want it but clearly hungry as cries if I take it away, she cries all the way through burping and doesn’t settle well after feeds. She only spits up if lead down too soon after a feed or if she doesn’t get wind up she is sometimes sick but nothing concerning, she doesn’t have any rashes and she only flings head back on certain feeds.

we know she has reflux which she is medicated for so I know it’s not this and we have mastered her teat size now so we know it’s not that.

does it sound like milk allergy to you? I feel so worried to try a new milk again incase it doesn’t work and then have to try changing back but at the same time if it is this then I need to do it sooner rather than later, please help!

It’s hard to know without seeing her full symptoms but sounds like my little one and he was/is lactose intolerant. He was also put on nutramigen and although i found it vile
he had no problem chugging it down and after 2 weeks was a different baby! I see no harm in trying in, and I know how distressing it can be so maybe worth a shot for your own peace of mind too. Hope it all works out well x

Hi everyone, I am looking advise / help. My wee girl is 5 weeks old and I am comby feeding her. Last sat my partner had her and she fell asleep on him for a few hours - since then her skin around her face, ears, neck and head is really red, looks sore and wee bumps also dry skin. We thought it was because of the washing power we use as I use different for her. Since I have started to wash all our clothes in the same non bio sensitive skin. We now think however it could be a milk allergy as it hasn’t been getting any better. Any advice on who we could speak to/visit would be much appreciated?? Many thanks in advance.
