1st Birthday Gift Ideas

Hello!

Anyone got any ideas for a 1st birthday gift for a girl. She's family, so I'd quite like something that will 'last' but isn't just a random keepsake. Something that she can use- even if not necessarily now. We got her some jewellery when she was born but want something similar that will be used by her but not jewellery.

All ideas welcome please!

If you want it to be used when she's a child I'd go for something like Duplo. It's got almost unmatched play value, can be played with from now until at least 6/7.

If you want something that she'll appreciate as an adult then a first edition of a book? A book signed by the author? A painting?

Personalised rucksack and water bottle? Sophie Allport have nice ones.

Something for her room such as a picture or nightlight.

The Little Miss collection of books / Beatrix potter collection.

Personalised towel from hooded owls.

Money box.

Placemat / nice bowl, plate and cup set.

Toy wise, I agree duplo is fab. Tegu magnets have also had lots of play here.

Pad of paper and a set of colouring pens - they can start to use them from 12 months and the first 'drawings' are lovely keepsakes :)

A coin box train.

A pleasant wind up music box. There is one with spinning fox and rabbit.

A hard back special edition of Alice in wonderland
