Baby looking right past me

Demdemz · 04/12/2022 10:28

Hello everyone

my almost 6 week old seems to mainly stare straight past me. She’s good with eye contact most of the time when feeding and some times when not but a lot of the time she will look right past me, at the wall and sometimes smile. Is this normal? I know she’s still very young

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TunaJacket · 04/12/2022 10:31

Yeah it’s normal

think I searched the same thing myself when mine was that age

fairgame84 · 04/12/2022 10:33

Normal. My 8 week old started looking more at us in the past week.

Yes, their vision is poor at this age. It improves after about 3 months.

Peppermint81 · 04/12/2022 10:34

Google baby's eyesight - they cannot see very well at that age!

Demdemz · 04/12/2022 10:40

@elevenplusdilemma @Peppermint81 thank u so much. I worry about every little thing unfortunately

@Demdemz I was/am the same! Unfortunately I think we will be googling a lot of strange things over the next probably 18 years 🤣

Imogensmumma · 04/12/2022 13:44

Very normal, mine is 4 months and laughs at the wall … all very strange and yes I too over think everything she does

Demdemz · 04/12/2022 13:47

@TunaJacket tell me about it lol it’s horrible 😭

@Imogensmumma thank you love!
