Apologies if this sounds stupid, just very hormonal and panicking at the moment. My 2 week old has sticky eyes so I was advised by HV to put a few drops of breast milk on them as well as wiping with cotton wool and cooled boiled water. I've realised today that I have nipple thrush :( could I possibly have now given my newborn a fungal eye infection??
