Newborn has thrush and won’t go??

I’m using the prescription cream. He often wees when changing or poos straight after so I have to start the process again. Using water wipes, trying to be gentle. A week later no change… got another doctor appointment but has anyone else had this?

Has his mouth been checked for oral thrush? It looks like white patches on the tongue and/or inner cheek. Nappy thrush often happens when it's worked through their system. If it's in his mouth then the nappy thrush won't go.

Yes, check for oral thrush if you haven't already. Has the nappy rash been swabbed and confirmed as thrush by the lab? If not, I'd ask for that, as there are other things that can look similar but need a different medication. Or even if it is thrush, it may need a different anti-fungal cream.
