3 month old ears

Hi our baby just turned 3 months old. When she was born she passed the hearing test at the hospital. Everything has been good until yesterday. My wife and I got into an argument. She put our baby down in a swing and walked about 10 feet away to me and yelled at the top of her lungs for like 5 seconds. I saw baby jump and she started crying. It obviously spooked her. We went to console her and she was fine after a minute or 2.

anyways I am worried about her hearing being impacted from the screaming. The one good thing is she wasn’t in our arms when the screaming happened but like I said about 10 feet away.

Could she suffer permanent hearing loss after this event? Or any damage you think? How can we test her hearing at home.

Thank you from an anxious dad

I’m sure your baby will be fine. I’m more concerned about what made your wife scream at you to be honest. It’ll be damaging in other ways for your baby to be in that sort of environment as they get older and more aware of what’s going on.

Your baby’s hearing will be fine. However it’s not good for her to witness this, is everything ok for you and your wife?

Your baby’s hearing won’t be damaged from
that
things don’t sound great between you and your wife tho
what made her scream like that?

Fucking hell. Just how loud can you and your wife shout?

Satsumaonaplate · 01/12/2022 20:56

Is this a joke post? If not you seriously need to calm down! Of course it won't damage her ears. Jeez!

Definitely Not a joke post and my wife and I are fine. I am just very anxious with the new baby. We have a second child who is 2 and I didn’t worry this much about that one. Not sure what is going on with me.

I just want her hearing to be ok. We never yell like that ever.

Sounds like you need to see your GP about your anxiety. Why was your wife screaming?
