Long shot but has anyone experienced/got any ideas about the following;
My 6mo formula fed daughter started having bright red blood in her stools & diarrhoea about 3 weeks ago, started with gastroenteritis but the blood didn’t stop after this (small streaks). The gp originally thought it was a tear but because it was ongoing tried her on lactose free milk - the bleeding stopped but the poos were horrendous and she was really constipated.
Put her back on her original milk today and the bleeding started again.
Dr said we can try CMPA milk next but wouldn’t that present earlier than 6months after being on the same formula since birth?
At my wits end with it and just want her to be okay. Note: she’s absolutely fine in herself, no other issues
