Thanks for reading. Have 2 kids, age 7 & 5. Am a single parent. Their Dad, who they were used to seeing a few times each week, is heading towards end of life stage of terminal cancer. We have support from a child bereavement charity; I'm also sorting out play therapy.

But, I need help with how to sort out and get through really hard mornings before school (and evenings after school when they're tired).
There is a lot of shouting from my 5 year old at the moment. She picks fights with her brother and uses something small to have a big meltdown, run off to shut herself in another room and shout and cry from there, refusing to eat breakfast until the last minute, or get ready for school. We can end up running late and with everyone cross. It feels truly awful. Yesterday evening something similar around bedtime happened. Endless fights between them, endless tears. I get them to either school or bed and feel bad for not containing it better.
