To move city before or after school

Hi All

DP and I are really struggling to make a decision on this.

We currently rent in the south with our DS who will soon be 3. We would like to move further in to the country which will also be closer to his grandparents. We’ve found some places in areas around 45 mins from where we are.

Our concern is DS. He is settled at his nursery and loves it a lot, he asks to go all the time and we are worried about pulling him out.

DP has his own business in our current city, so he will be travelling in, but my worry is that if we keep DS in his current nursery then he has zero chance of moving on to school with any friends etc.

We don’t know whether to make the move now, or later, but staying here won’t be an option long term.

Help!

One of my kids carried on to school with three nursery friends, the other with zero. I haven’t noticed any difference. I would say move the sooner the better, as the new house will also be an upheaval.

We moved before school as they don't really remember the move and then they get to start school in the new area.

Like the PP I have one who went to school with his Nursery buddies and one that didn't. After 2 weeks it makes zero difference.
