Catnapping baby - anyone fixed this problem?

I have a 3 month old that only catnaps in the day for about 20 to 25 minutes on average. It didn't bother me at first but I realised now it makes him crankier at night time when settling for bed. It could be an early regression but I'm not sure.

Any mums out there that managed to fix this problem of catnapping?

Will they sleep longer in a moving pram / sling? That’s the only thing that occasionally extended naps for mine. I think it’s a phase lots of babies go through.

Mine didn’t grow out of it until she was on fewer naps per day, she’d do 2 x 45 min and then when she dropped to 1 she could do 1.5 - 2 hours.

My 4mo is mostly 30 min naps at the moment and I can occasionally extend them in the sling if I’m out walking but not always even then.

It’s pretty normal at that age. My DD would only sleep longer than 30 mins in my arms and I had to rock her back to sleep as soon as she stirred at the 30 minute mark to extend the nap. When she was around 6.5 months old I started doing cot naps, when she stirred at 30 mins I’d go in and rock her back to sleep (worked 80% of the time). I’d say she started linking sleep cycles around 7.5 months.

He's fab if he's in my wrap or in the pram. I am starting to use Huckleberry app from today and already stretched to 45 mins after having to resettle once. He slept in his bouncer.

Let's see, I'll update as I progress in the hope to help someone else x
