Worried Mom ..weaning and projectile vomitting!

My baby just turned 6 months old and I am worried to the core. I started him on rice powder and he can only take 3-4 baby spoons of that cereal. He can tolerate very little yolk and if I give him 1/4th of yolk he will projectile vomit for a day. Same goes true for anything that is fed to him that is more than 4 baby spoons. I am troubled that his tummy is just too sensitive as other babies of his age are eating larger volumes of purees etc without any trouble. Please can someone offer insight as to how much he must be eating in day???He is a breastfed baby.

What yolk are you giving him?

Food is just for tasting, learning and playing at 6 months. As long as he is getting plenty of milk I wouldn't stay to worry yet.

What yolk?
Baby rice and rice cakes contain arsenic, sometimes above safe limits so I wouldn’t give them.

Are you worried about allergies with the egg? FPIES involves delayed vomiting I believe, I think I saw about that on solidstarts who are an amazing weaning resource, check them out on Instagram, get to the GP for an allergy referral if needed and try not to compare to other babies

Yolk as in egg yolk? Some kids are allergic to egg. It's quite common really. Chat to your doctor.

3-4 spoonfuls is fine for first few weeks of weaning. They will gradually take more over time.

Don't worry about baby rice. I used it with my eldest due to milk allergies and early weaning.

Sorry, it is egg yolk, more than 3 baby spoons and he gets some sort of indigestion I believe. Will definitely check out that resource!
