6 month old and cats

For 6 months I have banned my cats from the babies room and ensured the door was shut. Last night I accidentally left the door open and they were fine - does anyone else let the cats free roam their house on a night? I am wondering when it’s safe to let them back in my room.

I let my cats roam the house but the dc's bedroom doors were shut obvs.

Same as pp. our cat roams the house but will is shut out of my dd’s house at night. She’s 2 now so mostly to avoid her being disrupted at night but I’d be more concerned about safety with a 6 month old.
