If so please can you tell me if the strap at the back unclips while the bit that goes over the chest stays on?

So like if we're walking somewhere with the strap attached and I want to take the strap off but keep the middle bit on is this possible? (E.g. at the park) Or is it an all in one?

Looking for something that I can just keep on him as the reigns we have at the moment are a nightmare to get on and off!

We have this - not sure I'm understanding exactly what you are asking but essentially the bit that goes around their chest clips up at the back then the long "tail" that you hold has separate clips so yes you walk to the park then when you get there you can either remove the whole thing or just the long bit and leave the chest bit on the child. We do this a lot with dd as she is quite happy wearing it and it's easier and gives me one less thing to hold!
