Just a first time Mummy seeking experienced Mummys advice!

My lo is 5 months old, hasn't slept through yet, but has always been a great sleeper only waking once to feed.

She's going through a wee stage atm where she's waking lots during the night which is completely ok I know that's to be expected! So naturally she's a bit groggy and all over the place with naps. She's also teething.

She has started to push her bottle away during the day and tugs at the teat, I moved her up a size and same thing. She eventually finishes a bottle but she is defo stressed throughout. She doesn't do this at night, so I've even tried to feed her in the bedroom in the dark with white noise but still no joy. She's a content baby in between times I'm confused?

Anyone any advice? Is this just something we will have to soldier on with?

The joys of little babies ❣️

What bottles are you using? Do they have a variable flow teet?

upfucked · 23/11/2022 16:15

Have you tried pain relief for her teeth?

upfucked · 23/11/2022 16:16

BTW she shouldn’t be finishing her bottles. If there is no milk left in the bottle you should be offering more milk.

@hugznotdrugz tommee tippee bottles, I'm currently on size 3, tried a variable flow teet and she was choking?

@upfucked I am using Ashton and Parsons teething gel & powder, then calpol for when she's really hurting. I tried a glycerine and aniseed gel which my friend swore by and it didn't help at all! Lol every baby is different.

The only thing in the Ashton powder which will help is sugar and the gel isn’t a medicine so won’t help. Calpol is good but nurofen is better and anbesol liquid (not the gel) will also help. Nurofen and anbesol liquid can be used at the same time.

Never ever heard this?! Only if they are still showing signs of hunger.

@Nursemumma92 I always add an ounce onto what she usually drinks so then I'll notice when shes drinking more, then I know to add more again
