MMR side effects

I appreciate everyone gets concerned about vaccine side effects but I'm wondering how often people have experienced uncommon side effects? We're on day 6/7 following the MMR vaccine and my 13 month old has been experiencing a raging fever and vomiting and diarrhoea. He had a random bout of vomiting about 4 days post vaccine which I assumed may be a stomach bug but he seemed to have recovered fairly quickly and had no fever. This one seems different and given the timing, I suspect is linked to the vaccine. Just wondering if anyone experienced similar and could reassure me there's some end in sight soon?

It's probably not linked to the vaccine if the onset wasn't in the first 24 hours after he received it. Hope he recovers quickly but if not, get him checked out because it won't just be valid effects.

Supposedly babies get 12 viruses in their first 12 months. Attributing causation is not really possible!

*vaccine effects, not valid sorry

@Sopharaway measles side effects start 6-10 days after the vaccine and vomiting and diarrhoea are both listed as uncommon side effects. I will of course see a GP if he doesn't improve soon but wondered if anyone else had experienced similar.

Mine definitely get way more than that but I do think you can at least try to determine the causation, especially if the timing coincides with vaccines.

My daughter 15mth old
got really sick on the 4th day after the MMR vaccine high temps for 3 days irritable and miserable for 5 days straight now.
crying all day long really lethargic and now has developed the rash on her back and tummy exactly 7 days after having it.
she also vomited twice and has had diarrhoea.
I took her to the doctor and to the ED
Doc said it’s definitely from the vaccine and hospital said she must just have a virus.
im really worried how much longer will this last poor thing is so tiny only 9kgs
How long did your child’s symptoms last for?

@SummerJett I think it took 4 days before the fever broke. I hope your little girl feels better soon.

This is an average weight for a 15 month old.
