Has anyone’s year 1 child never had a school trip including in reception? Not a big deal just wondering as my older ones have them often.

Pretty common. it's a huge PITA to take 5yr olds on trips and schools won't have the money to waste right now.

I don’t think it’s the cost as both my older boys have had 2 each since going back in September

No I don’t think it’s age, both boys went on school trips in reception/year one including cinema year 1 and the cable cars in reception also farm etc not looking for reasons why they are not just wondering if anyone else’s school haven’t done any or just ours

We took our year 1s on 3 local trips (e.g walk to park/church etc) and 3 not so local last year.

Reception did 3 local and 1 big trip.
