Is it possible for reflux to come back or get much worse after sickness episode?

Have been told my DD had reflux from early age and have tried variety of medications, generally with v.limited success. However, the obvious reflux symptoms did seem to lessen over time, eg. sickness, screaming after feeding, although she was still very unsettled in sleep and very windy. As meds had made little difference and it wasnt always clear whether symptoms were still reflux, we stopped meds and we're now trying dairy free (so far with limited success). shes now 9 mths and had begun to sleep periods of around 5-6 hours at a time (which let me tell you was a great relief after her being up every few hours). However, last weekend she ended up in hospital after a bang to the head and hideous vomiting for 3 days. When she came home, she was obviously still quite unsettled and not feeding well. However, she didnt sleep too badly. But over the last few days and nights she has begun to behave like a reflux baby again, screaming during and after feeds, very irritable, very windy, waking much more often. Has anyone had experience of this after vomiting or seen reflux appear to go away only to come back with a vengeance.

No experience of this, sorry. Sort of wanted to bump it for you.

And say that we tried probiotics (acidophilus and lactobactilus (sp?)) for DS's reflux after unsuccessful meds -- just before I took the leap of going dairy-free as he's bf. It's worked really well for him and his reflux is almost gone (I have my suspicions why as well, but I won't go into that right now). Did they give your DD any medication in the hospital?
