Ds is 10 months old. Ebf. Wakes twice, sometimes has stages off just once, for night feeds. I can tell they are proper feeds and not just quick comfort feeds. He eats well and I don't feel he needs to feed overnight anymore. I keep wanting to night wean but then something happens like illness or travel etc. I am tired and it is affecting my mental health now some days. I also have an older dc. Just want to share night wakings with dh more as i have ended up doing loads. With all this in mind, how best to night wean? I am going in circles trying to work out how to do it!!

Could you maybe express and offer him bottles overnight rather than boob? If he takes the bottle then slowly reduce the amount, eventually just offering water.

If he won't take a bottle then I've no idea but I'm sure someone else will be along with help x

Introduce a dummy, only when baby wakes. It will give him the comfort he might need which isn’t always hunger.

Practice using during the day. The Tommy Tippee ones are good.

My rule of thumb is that baby never goes to bed wjth a dummy. It’s the exception not the rule. Worked well for us.
