5 year old night terrors

Hi, I’m looking for some advice, I have a five year old DS, he has always had night terrors from really young, most of the boys in my family suffer from them. Usually they are manageable, 1-2 a week max. But this past month they have been every night lasting most of the night, it’s starting to affect his day to day life. School has picked up on his change of attention and that he’s just not himself very grizzly and so on. Any advice would be great!
thank you 😊

I was convinced my DS had night terrors, because he would scream murder in the hour or so of falling asleep, turned out he had a massive ear infection due to trapped liquid that only caused an issue when head was horizontal for a long time. He was 4 and never once complained about pain, or soreness in his ears.

He ended up having grommets surgery

Have his ears checked for infection

They are 100% night terrors. I have lived my whole life with my brother having them.
But I will definitely get him checked out, thank you!
