Chickenpox

Hi,

Just looking for some opinions please, first time mum here and as soon as my daughter gets unwell I do nothing but second guess myself.

I'm fairly confident she's got chickenpox, but most things I've read online says it starts on the belly/chest/back and my daughter only has the spots on her arms and legs with a couple tiny ones on her face.

This is day 2 of spots and the day before they started appearing she had a slight fever, runny nose and not feeling herself. She's now happy and energetic, just spotty.

I plan on contacting the Drs (even though I feel I'll be wasting their time) tomorrow if I'm still worried.

Thanks all 😊

Could be hand foot and mouth.
Are the spots on her face near her mouth?

Agree on hand foot and mouth. Check inside mouth too. Is she off her food?
My ds had a horrible case of it recently.

Has she been around anyone with chicken pox? If not I'd suggest hand foot and mouth is more likely. DD had it and the spots were limited to arms, legs and groin.

Doesn’t look like CP to me.

Oh ok thank you everyone, I'll call the Drs in the morning.

The spots on her face are by her mouth so would make sense x

Can't see anything inside her mouth and she's still eating well thankfully.

Did you take your daughter to the drs?

I know NHS site says it should sort itself out but I'll book in to get confirmation of what it is 😊

Looks like chickenpox to me, I’ve had 3 that have all had it one only just weeks ago.

Not that I know of, but we go to a couple of toddler groups so she could pick anything up there I suppose.

Thanks I didn't even think of hand, foot & mouth as didn't realise it could spread so far x

Well Dr doesn't know what it is and has prescribed antihistamines and to go back next week if no improvement 😊
